Supermodel Claudia Schiffer gave her debut as a curator at the exhibition “Captivate! Fashion Photography from the 90’s” in Düsseldorf.
She invited visitors to get an individual and knowledgeable view of the 90’s fashion photography.
Furthermore the exhibition documented Claudia’s career from the very beginning until today.
There was also an audio guide available which is spoken by Claudia herself, commenting the stories behind the photos.
Her idea of the title “Captivate!” represents the ability of the hypnotic unique moments in time in photographs.
Out of thousands of potential works, she choosed around 150 images for the exhibition, which were important to the fashion world and culture landscape of this decade.
The 90’s are the golden decade of the superstar designers, stylists, models and photographers, which Claudia brought together in the show.
Among them were Ellen von Unwerth and Karl Lagerfeld, who supported Claudia’s career the most and made her to the iconic woman we know today.
